After four years of enormous activity by the progressive goth-rock formation suddenly everything seemed to be frozen around Dronning Maud Land in 1996. The melting lastet five years and now the relict from the nineties celebrates a feast of resurrection. Dronning Maud Land have preserved their doing and inspired their music with new life. |
Re-Release part one!
Due to the success of „Bedlam“ and the enormous inquiry DML and Schwarzrock have decided to
re-release the old stuff on an compilation sequel being called "The Essence Of A Decade".
Both parts will be strictly limited (1000 copies) and part one will hit the streets on the 26th
of Aprli 2004.

new album!
We have just finished our work for our new album which will be released on the 26th of Mai
2003 on our label Schwarzrock. We decided to release something new first, the planned re- release of
our old material will probably be avaliable in the 4th quarter of this year.

Shelter found for re-release:
After a long search and several changes of structure we have finally found a satisfying solution: DML signed the label Schwarzrock. Tracklist and Artwork are decided, the compilation will be released in spring 2003. "The Essence Of A Decade" will be the first part of a sequel containing all older DML songs, taken from Aphorism/ Alteration/ Maelstrom. Additionally you will find two bonus tracks, both previously unreleased, one as a teaser for the following album, the other exclusively choosen only for the compilation. The remaining material is planned to be released on "Part two" later on. |

Dronning Maud Land- the revolving door:
It´s been a turbulent year: another change of structure. Founding- member Katja will leave to Montana/ USA. Her artwork will attend us further on. We hope the best for this step. Since November we are accompanied by Maria Hülsmann, replacing Katja on guitar. She will have her live debut with us at the "Garage" in Berlin at the 21.12.02. Goodbye and welcome! |

Healed and infectedThree months ago our fellow drummer for many years Frank Quasebarth left Dronning Maud Land due a lack of time. This isn't a goodby, this is a thank you for a splendid time. Frank is replaced by Gaby Rohrschneider, an adequate substitute to us. She had her live debut with us at the "Herbstnächte IV" festival in Raben/ Germany. Welcome aboard! |

Future Releases likelyFuture plans are getting concrete. First of all, DML will re-release two albums "Aphorism" and "Maelstrom" as a digipack plus new recordings/ remixes. It will be titled "The Essence of a Decade" and will be avaliable about October. At that time DML will record their third album called "Bedlam", which is planned to be released in January. Parallely there will be a support tour in winter. As you might know, never be sure about information on music until you have materia in your hands, so openly spoken these are plans but they are VERY likely! |
